A spirit that is not afraid

Glomerata now available

The Glomerata, Auburn University's annual yearbook, is available now to all students.

The locations for the pickups are: Student Center transit, Science Center/Mell Street transit, and the Lowder/Shelby Center transit, which is across from Chipotle.

Glomerata editor-in-chief Taylor Hardy said distribution is every day this week from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. with the exception of one day.

"Due to rain Tuesday, we are moving distribution into the Glom office, Student Center Suite 1115," Hardy said. "The regular distribution points will resume in their normal locations starting again on Wednesday."

The Glomerata upgraded their equipment this past year, and with the new cameras and new software, Hardy is eager to see the changes in print.

"I am personally excited about the graphic design work and our theme "A Modern Cause,'" Hardy said. "Both are featured throughout the book, specifically the opening and the cover. This year we have made vast improvements to the layouts and design of the book and I really think it shows throughout. That being said, I am truly excited about the book as a whole. Our staff has gone above and beyond to make something incredibly special and capture something that is the essence of Auburn."

One of the biggest changes is the online reservation process. Hardy said the new system was a product of listening to what the student body wanted.

"The biggest advantage with the new equipment revolves around the idea of showing everyone how much the Auburn students value the Glomerata," Hardy said. "This has been seen throughout the entire reserve process, which showed the book is in very high demand. It has also allowed us to make sure every student that wants a copy gets a copy because that is the most important fact. Last year, people were upset when they did not receive their copy, but with our new system we have answered all your concerns and assure you that everyone who reserves a book will get a copy."

Students can reserve the Glomerata by visiting the website auburn.edu/getaglom. Once there, they can choose the location most convenient to them. Once the copy is reserved, students can pick up their Glom with a TigerCard or banner ID.
