In the first ever sanctioned mixed martial arts event in Montgomery, 18 fighters saw the ring last night at the Renaissance Fight Night at the Renaissance Convention Center.
The original docket was scheduled for 10 fights, but two were canceled due to medical issues.
The main event was fought between Aaron Johnson and Rodney "Shonuff" Wallace and with a just over four minutes in the fourth round, Johnson was named middleweight champion by knock out.
