The governor-appointed board that helps run Alabama Public Television has called a special meeting for 3:00 pm tomorrow, August 18, at the APT headquarters in Birmingham.
The website lists the agenda as a discussion of the recent Montgomery studio transaction, the "selection/hiring/appointment, and discussion" of new executive officers "including but not limited to Executive Director, Chief Financial Officer, and Chief Operation Officer," and also approval of the actions of the chairman.
Alabama Public Television has been somewhat in upheaval in the last six months after the dismissal of the executive director Alan Pizzato and his assistant Pauline Howland.
The abrupt firings were followed by multiple resignations from fundraising groups related to the station, and ultimately Pizzato filing a law suit.
