Head coach Gus Malzahn and his staff have received a commitment from another junior college recruit in Nick Marshall, a 6-foot-2-inch, 210-pound athlete who is adept at playing quarterback, cornerback and wide receiver.
Marshall will have to specialize in one of the positions, but he remains an option to play at three positions that are vital to the Tigers' success in the future.
According to ESPN.com, Marshall is familiar with some of the Auburn coaches.
"Coach Malzahn is a nice guy and recruited me when he was at Arkansas State," he said. "And Dameyune Craig, he tried to get me in high school when he was at Florida State. When he came back to Auburn, I felt like that was big and I didn't want to miss out on playing for him."
Marshall was signed by Georgia in 2011, but was dismissed because of a violation of team rules. He then enrolled at Garden State Community College, where he had 36 total touchdowns and 3,786 total yards as the dual-threat quarterback.
This commitment makes the 2013 Auburn quarterback class deep, as Auburn has already received a verbal commitment from four-star recruit Jeremy Johnson.
Whether Marshall will be a quarterback or something else remains a mystery, but it is a solid recruiting get for the Tigers this close to signing day.
