Gymnastics best Maryland in Flip for a Cure Pink Meet

The No. 11 Auburn gymnastics team won its second match in a row on Friday, March 1 by a score of 196.825-195.300 over No. 23 Maryland in the Flip for a Cure Pink Meet.

Caitlin Atkinson followed up her great performance against LSU last week with another good performance against Maryland after scoring the highest overall score for the night with 39.475.

Auburn won three of the four events with Megan Walker scoring 9.925 on bars and 9.900 on the balance beam. Atkinson finished first first on floor exercises scoring 9.950.

Maryland's Katy Dodds finished first in vault with a score of 9.925.

Auburn will return to action on Friday, March 8 at Auburn Arena against Lindenwood.
