The Auburn baseball team won its fourth SEC series of the season with a 4-1 victory over Florida May 12.

The Tigers took the first game, but the Gators won the second to force a series-deciding rubber match Sunday.

"Today was as big a day as we have had all year," said Auburn coach John Pawlowski. "To respond the way we did. It was a tough one last night and we had to put that behind us. To come out here, the will to win and the passion to come out on the winning end was a testament to this team. I am really proud of this team today."

Damek Tomscha and Ryan Tella each homered, with the former knocking a solo shot in the fifth inning and the latter picking up the final three RBIs in the sixth.

Auburn moved to 31-20 (11-16 SEC) while the Gators fell to 28-25 (13-14 SEC).

The Tigers have four games remaining, but they are all at home. They will play Jacksonville State Tuesday, May 14, and will finish the regular season against Arkansas May 17-19.
