Auburn Police have arrested two men in connection with a May 15 robbery on Dekalb Street.
Through a press release, Auburn Police announced the arrests of Bradford Blount, 22, of Vestavia and Dennis Elder, 22, of Birmingham. Blount has been charged with first-degree robbery and Elder has been charged with first-degree robbery and first-degree trafficking of a controlled substance.
On Tuesday, May 15, Auburn Police responded to a robbery call in the 600 block of Dekalb Street. According to the release, the victim called 911 and gave information on the suspects and a vehicle description.
After further investigation, Police identified Blount and Elder and they were taken into custody. Narcotics were found at Elder's former residence in Auburn, which led to an additional charge of trafficking of a controlled substance.
Blount is a senior at Auburn University where he is a senior in management.
The two were taken to the Lee County Detention Center, where they are each being held on $150,000 bond.
