Graffiti investigation by APD nets arrest, suspect

The Auburn Police Division is currently investigating a slew of graffiti paintings around the Gay Street and Magnolia Avenue area.
David S. Tatum, 19, of Auburn, was arrested and charged with third degree criminal mischief Sept. 25 following the investigation for "similar damages in the area."
Individuals responsible for damages, if convicted, could face court fines ranging from $500-2,500, restitution cost, court costs and confinement in the Lee County Detention Facility for 90 days-six months.
Cameras captured a suspect in the area during the time frame of these incidents.
APD asks for assistance from the public in identifying any additional persons of interest.
