Bruce Pearl added local high school basketball coach Chad Prewett to his staff on Tuesday. Prewett will join Pearl's basketball staff as a special assistant to the head coach.
Prewett served as both the boys' and girls' basketball coach at Lee-Scott Academy over the past seven years, winning a combined five state titles.
First duties for Prewett will include helping assistant coach Steven Pearl with the Tiger's summer camps, which begin Sunday with Auburn's Day Camp.
Prewett led the Warriors to seven state title-game appearances - five with the girls' team and two with the boys' team. The girls' team won a state title in 2009 and then three straight from 2011-13. The boys' team brought the title to Lee-Scott in 2012.
