The Auburn volleyball team lost its second SEC matchup of the weekend 3-0 (15-25, 19-25, 17-25) to No. 13 Kentucky on Sunday afternoon at Memorial Coliseum in Lexington, Kentucky.
Thirteen blocks from the Wildcats (16-2, 6-0 SEC) kept the Tigers (9-10, 1-5 SEC) at a match-low hitting percentage of .012.
Other than the Wildcats' dominating defense, Kentucky was able to outscore Auburn by capitalizing on the Tigers' errors throughout the match, according to head coach Rick Nold.
The Tigers struggled on offense as no Auburn player reached double-digits in kills. Sophomores Stephanie Campbell and Emily Klitzke had seven apiece.
Freshman setter Alexa Filley's 23 assists in the match moved her into fourth place for Auburn's single-season assist record with 696 assists.
Junior Alyssa Ivey led the team with nine digs.
The Tigers were held to just 27 kills, 26 assists and three blocks, while the Wildcats finished with 39 kills, 11 blocks and five aces.
Auburn returns to Southeastern Conference action on Friday against the Ole Miss Rebels at 7 p.m. at Auburn Arena.
