Auburn All-SEC sophomore Matt Gilchrest was named SEC Golfer of the Week after shooting 12-under at the Amer Ari Invitational in Waikoloa, Hawaii, from February 5-8, good for fifth place.
Gilchrest shot an 8-under in the second round, tying him with Stuart Moore for the second lowest round in Auburn history, one shy of Kyle Kopsick's record in 2009.
His 12-under over the three days is a career low, and he has a team-low 69.57 stroke average.
Auburn returns to action Feb. 23-24 at the Mobile Sports Authority Intercollegiate at Crossings' Course in Mobile, Alabama.\0x200B
