Auburn was ranked No. 7 in the FWAA-NFF Super 16 poll released on Thursday, Aug. 17.
Auburn is the second of five SEC teams in the rankings, as they trail third-ranked Alabama but are ranked above Georgia, LSU and Ole Miss.
Ohio State was ranked first in the poll with 38 out of 40 first-place votes.
The first regular season poll will be released on Sept. 8.
