Elizabeth Huntley, member of the Auburn University Board of Trustees and Auburn graduate, will present a talk Friday, Oct. 30 on her memoir, "More than a Bird" at 3 p.m. in the Goodwin Room at the Auburn Alumni Center as part of the All-Star Lecture series.
Huntley's memoir tells the story of her difficult childhood growing up in poverty, and how she was able to break away from the mold and create a life for herself.
Now, Huntley is a litigation attorney, practicing in banking and financial services, business litigation and products liability.
Huntley serves on the University's Board of Trustees, as well as the Defense Research Institute's Diversity for Success Seminar Committee and is active in the Alabama State and Birmingham Bar Associations.
