The Opelika-Auburn News will host the first costumed 5K in the area. The Run For Your Life 5K will take place Saturday, Oct.17 at Opelika Municipal Park.
Costumes are not required for the event but highly encouraged. For those who do not want to run the entire 5K, there will also be a 1-mile Fun Run.
The event will also feature a pumpkin carving contest and costume contest with the best in both categories receiving awards at the end of the night.
