Another Auburn cornerback is out for the season after suffering an injury against Texas A&M.
Freshman Jeremiah Dinson will not return this year due to a knee injury, coach Gus Malzahn announced on "Tiger Talk," his weekly radio show, Monday night.
Dinson suffered the injury on a 1st-and-goal play with 3:09 left in the third quarter.
Texas A&M quarterback Kyler Murray scrambled to the right, and Dinson was on the receiving end of a vicious block from Texas A&M receiver Ricky Seals-Jones. Seals-Jones was called for targeting on the play, but the flag was picked up after an official review.
Dinson laid on the field for a few minutes before he was taken to the locker room on a cart.
In six games this season, Dinson recorded 15 tackles, including nine solo tackles. He is the second cornerback to suffer a season-ending knee injury, as Joshua Holsey tore his ACL against Jacksonville State.
Malzahn is scheduled to meet with the media on Tuesday at 11 a.m.
