An Auburn University employee was arrested after allegedly checking a 14-year-old girl out of Opelika High School.
Larry Dewayne Brown serves as the assistant vice president of Alumni Affairs. Brown, 47, is charged with enticing a child for immoral purposes and interference with custody, according to the Lee County Sheriff's Office.
According to the sheriff's office, Beauregard High School officials and a parent reported a 14-year-girl was checked out of the Opelika school by a man without the school's permission on Dec. 16.
He was released after posting an $18,000 bond.
The case is under investigation.
