While Auburn has seen tremendous turnover on the defensive coaching staff after the 2015 season, the offensive staff has remained intact — for now, at least.

Auburn offensive line coach J.B. Grimes will interview for a position on the University of Cincinnati’s staff, according to a report from AL.com.

Grimes joined the Auburn staff in 2013 and oversaw an offensive line that paved the way for Tre Mason and Nick Marshall, both of whom rushed for over 1,000 yards. The Tigers led the nation in rushing that year, averaging 328.3 yards per game.

Auburn has produced a 1,000-yard rusher in each of Grimes’ three seasons on The Plains.

Former Auburn head coach Tommy Tuberville is currently the head coach at Cincinnati, and Grimes’ son, Nick, is a graduate assistant for the Bearcats.
