Auburn Police responded to a call this afternoon, Jan.28, to a report a person who possibly had an unauthorized weapon near the Student Center, according to a public safety advisory from Auburn University Public Safety and Security. The person was not acting in a threatening manner.
An increased police presence was seen in the Student Center this afternoon. No threats were identified during their search, according to the advisory.
AU Public Safety and Security urged students to report suspicious behavior or a person with any weapon on campus to the police by dialing 911 or, for non-emergencies, 334-501-3100.
