The Auburn Police Division arrested Benjamin J. Galik, age 32 from Auburn, on Monday May 16, 2016 on felony warrants charging him with Burglary Third Degree and Theft of Property Second Degree.
The arrest is the result of an investigation by Auburn Police into a burglary that occurred in the 100 Block of North College Street on May 9, according to a press release. Officers responded to the business to discover that someone had forced entry inside while it was closed and stole an undetermined amount of U.S. currency.
Former employee Benjamin J. Galik was developed as a suspect after he was captured on video surveillance. Detectives obtained warrants for his arrest charging him with burglary 3rd degree and theft of property 2nd degree. Galik was subsequently located at a residence in Auburn by detectives and taken into custody.
Galik was transported to the Lee County Jail and will be eligible for a $6,000 bond.
