LETTER TO THE EDITOR: Despite the game, Auburn wins

I’m a Texas Aggie class of ‘72 graduate who has returned home from his first road trip to Jordan-Hare Stadium and the Auburn vs. Texas A&M football game on Saturday.

The visit to your city and to your campus was really impressive. The Auburn campus was beautiful and well maintained.

The Auburn students and alum are truly classy and gracious people. My Aggie traveling buddy and I spent most of the game day on campus and were sincerely welcomed by the students, alums and fans all the way from Momma Goldberg’s to the “tailgate city” outside the gates of Jordan-Hare. We were welcomed and treated well. Sitting in Jordan-Hare section 109 surrounded by the WarEagle faithful, the camaraderie was great.

It was truly a delightful experience regardless of the outcome of the game. The Auburn faithful and Jordan-Hare lived up to its reputation of being a great place for an SEC football experience.

And now join me in a hearty roar in”Aggie speak”... BEAT THE HELL OUTTA ‘Bama!  WHOOP!
