Kamryn Pettway's getting national recognition, even when he's sidelined.
Pettway was one of 10 players named as semifinalists for the Doak Walker Award on Wednesday, which is given to the top running back in college football each year.
Pettway leads the SEC in rushing with 1,106 yards, and that's without playing in three of Auburn's games — he didn't receive a carry in the season opener against Clemson, and he missed the games against Louisiana-Monroe and Georgia with injuries.
The other nine finalists are Saquon Barkley of Penn State, Dalvin Cook of Florida State, D'Onta Foreman of Texas, Leonard Fournette of LSU, Brian Hill of Wyoming, Aaron Jones of UTEP, Christian McCaffrey of Stanford, Jeremy McNichols of Boise State and Donnel Pumphrey of San Diego State.
The winner will be named on Dec. 8.
