The SEC's leading scorer isn't leaving The Plains just yet.
Auburn kicker Daniel Carlson confirmed to reporters on Thursday following the Tigers' practice for the upcoming Sugar Bowl that he will return to Auburn for his final year of eligibility.
The redshirt junior was a finalist for the Lou Groza Award, given to the nation's best kicker, each of the past two seasons, but he came up short both times.
Carlson has connected on 26 of his 30 field goal attempts this season, and he's made all 46 of his extra-point tries.
Auburn faces Oklahoma in the Sugar Bowl on Jan. 2 at 7:30.
