While storm clouds drenched the campus with its first significant storm in months, the University Program Council stayed dry as they hosted their annual Jingle Bell Jam in the Student Center Ballroom on Wednesday, Nov. 30.
Director of Tiger Nights Sarah Sanders said she and her committee have been planning this event since the end of October.
“[There's] Iceless ice skating, caricatures, a photo booth, cookie decorating, a hot chocolate and coffee bar, a s’mores bar, karaoke, designed mugs and other food and beverages,” Sanders said.
Sanders said the event is an opportunity for students to relax before finals week approaches.
"UPC is able to provide something different in this crazy busy time,” Sanders said. “Tiger Nights wanted to give the Auburn Students an opportunity to relax and have some fun before the stress of finals week.”
After her third year planning the event, Sanders said it's her favorite because it "brings the Auburn community closer together".
This year Jingle Bell Jam hosted 650 people, Sanders said.
“Really great turnout and people seem to be having fun,” Sanders said.
Due to success in earlier years of hosting the iceless ice skating, Sanders said UPC brought in a larger rink and more skates to accommodate to its high demand this year.
