Golf ball size hail, damaging winds up to 70 mph and several strong, long-track tornadoes are possible, according to the NWS.
Severe weather is likely in the Auburn area until 3 p.m., according to the NWS. Auburn is included in a "significant threat area." The NWS has also upgraded the watch to a "particularly dangerous situation."
With strong tornadoes possible, many apartment complexes and all mobile homes will not be safe. Greene Hall and RBD Library will be open as storm shelters if needed.
