As part of the celebration of 125 Years of Women at Auburn University, Auburn University Libraries’ 'Discover Auburn Women of Distinction' lecture series will present former Miss America, Mallory Hagan, in a program titled “Make Courage Your Brand.”
The free public event is Oct. 10, at 3 p.m. in the Caroline Marshall Draughon auditorium of the Ralph Brown Draughon Library.
Hagan won the title of Miss America in 2013 on a platform of child sexual abuse awareness and prevention. According to her website, she moved to New York after her first year of college at Auburn where she became Miss Brooklyn 2010, Miss Manhattan 2011, Miss New York and New York City 2012.
She is an Opelika native and recently moved back after living eight years in New York.
