Gus Malzahn celebrates after Auburn Football vs. Washington on Saturday, Sept. 1, 2018 in Atlanta, Ga.

In typical heart-stopping fashion, Auburn football came away with the highest profile victory of Week 1 with a 21-16 win over No. 6 Washington, snapping its two-game losing streak in Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta.

The Tiger defense looked as good, if not better, than advertised. Kevin Steele's group utilized a bend-don't-break strategy against a tricky Huskies offense. Quarterback Jarrett Stidham came out hot before letting some bad habits take over in the second and third quarters, but ultimately played efficiently against an elite Washington secondary.

Will JaTarvious Whitlow replace Kam Martin as the No. 1 back by the LSU game? Can Anders Carlson be an all-time great? What backups will see the most playing time against Alabama State?

We want to engage with our readers on whatever topics they deem relevant, including Auburn athletics (obviously) and national sports headlines.
