Auburn softball will take to the diamond this spring for its second season under head coach Mickey Dean, who announced the team's 2019 game slate of 56 games Wednesday afternoon.
The Tigers will face five of the eight teams from last season's Women's College World Series (Oregon, Washington, Florida, UCLA and Georgia) and 14 teams total from the 2018 postseason.
Auburn lost in the first round of the Tallahassee Regional to Florida State last season before its season ended with a loss to Jacksonville State.
"I'm looking for us to be consistent," Dean said. "Whether we are playing at home or on the road or at a neutral site, I want to see us perform consistently. Last year, we did a really good job with our defense and pitching, but our hitting got stagnant on the road, so we need to figure out a way to get that adrenaline going with our bats and our focus this year is going to be on quality at-bats."
