Auburn guards Bryce Brown and Jared Harper were voted to the preseason All-SEC second team following a vote by head coaches, the league office announced Tuesday morning.
Brown and Harper join the second team after commanding Auburn to its third conference title the previous season. Brown was selected earlier to the first team by the Associated Press, with Harper maintaining his second-team selection by both.
Recognition continues for Auburn’s backcourt, with Harper and Brown also being selected earlier to the Bob Cousy Point Guard of the Year and Jerry West Shooting Guard of the Year award watchlists, respectively.
While being projected to finish third in the conference, the program's highest projected finish since the 1999-2000 season, Auburn is set to open the season at home Tuesday night against South Alabama.
The game will be aired at 8 p.m. CT on the SEC Network.
