A pedestrian was struck by a moving vehicle on Magnolia Avenue near Toomer’s Corner on Saturday afternoon.

According to live stream footage of Toomer’s Corner from the City of Auburn, the accident occurred at about 2:20 p.m. Footage shows that the pedestrian was struck by a light-colored SUV crossing Magnolia Avenue from campus.

The vehicle was moving from idle to the turn lane to turn onto North College Street. Emergency vehicles arrived within minutes and shut down eastbound traffic on West Magnolia Avenue in front of Skybar Cafe.

Police said that the pedestrian has been transported by ambulance to East Alabama Medical Center for evaluation for non-life-threatening injuries.
