The hamburger is an American staple, up with the likes of baseball and bald eagles. In Auburn, there’s no shortage of great beef patties across the city, but BurgerFi has been voted the best burger for Plainsman's Choice.

BurgerFi has been located right next to Auburn’s campus for six years. The fixture on South College Street is part of a chain that operates over 125 locations internationally.

Inside, the restaurant is littered with TVs tuned to whatever major sporting event is going on, as well as a variety of memorabilia that provides a visual history of Auburn sports.

Most importantly, the burger itself is delicious. BurgerFi uses 100% natural American Angus beef. There are no steroids, chemicals or harmful additives. Their menu is chock-full of combinations to choose from if you don’t want to customize your own.

It’s certainly not the cleanest meal in the world. Often, going there involves scooping up half of your burger from the paper boat that it arrives in. However, this, along with the mountain of fries that you can add to your order, is all part of the experience of a great burger.
