It may come as no surprise that the Amsterdam Cafe food truck is the winner of Plainsman’s Choice 2022 for best on-campus food truck, and it takes its place on-top for the fifth year in a row.

An on-the-go version of the original, delicious cafe in downtown Auburn, the ‘Dam Food Truck has samplings of restaurant favorites like the buffalo chicken sandwich.

The truck also serves the Amsterdam turkey wrap, girdle burger, chicken finger plate and the pepper jack grilled chicken and a box of fries as a side or whole meal.

For some students, the appeal of the food truck is that it can be a cheaper option than other on-campus dining.

“It’s the only decent food truck on campus that isn’t a $15 meal,” said Ansley Franco, junior in journalism.

The food truck has won best on-campus food truck for as many years as its been on campus. Appearing here five years ago after the owner, Blake Cleveland, was looking to expand. Now, the restaurant has the War 'Dam Taco Truck in addition to the original truck, and another brick-and-mortar location in the Research and Innovation Center in the Auburn Research Park.

If you're looking for a way to get your Amsteedam Cafe fix, you have your fair share of options.
