For their performances during the 2022-23 season, Auburn's Johni Broome and Wendell Green Jr. were named to the All-SEC Second Team, as selected by the league's coaches.

In his first season at Auburn, Broome averaged 14.0 points per game, ranking 14th in the conference, and 8.4 rebounds per game, ranking second only to Kentucky's Oscar Tshiebwe. Broome was third in the league with 2.4 blocks per game, giving him a total of 71 during the regular season.

Broome played in 30 of Auburn's 31 games this season, only missing the Nov. 18 game against Texas Southern, and averaged 26.1 minutes per contest. His season included nine double-doubles and 25 double-digit scoring performances, including six straight.

Green Jr., in his second season on the Plains, started all 31 games for the Tigers. He averaged 13.9 points per game, shooting 36.6% from the field and 83.1% from the free-throw line, and had 129 assists during the regular season — an average of nearly 4.2 per game.

Green Jr. was a double-digit scorer in 21 games this season, including seven games with 20 points or more. Auburn was 17-4 in games in which Green Jr. reached double figures.

Broome and Green Jr.'s selections marked the fifth time in six seasons that Auburn has had multiple players named as All-SEC performers by the conference's coaches.
