Auburn will travel to Columbia, Missouri, on Sunday as the Tigers look to bounce back from consecutive losses in the SEC when they take on the Missouri Tigers.

Auburn carries a solid 14-8 record throughout the entirety of the season but holds a weaker 3-6 record in SEC play and a 3-5 record when playing away from its home court. Auburn is coming off two losses against No. 1 South Carolina and Arkansas, and it’ll be looking for its first SEC away win and its first away win since Dec. 10.

Missouri comes into this game after a loss at South Carolina and will be looking to turn its fortunes around following an uninspiring past couple of weeks. The Tigers currently sit on an 11-12 season record and a 2-8 record in SEC play. Notably, Missouri has an 8-4 record when playing at home in Mizzou Arena.

Historically, Auburn has struggled against Missouri with a 4-10 record and an uninspiring 1-5 record when playing at Missouri’s court.

In its last meeting, which took place last season on Jan. 1, 2023, Auburn suffered a 62-56 loss. Auburn’s last win against Missouri came during the 2019-2020 season in a 95-82 win. The Missouri Tigers will want to maintain their dominance over Auburn as they hope to end their four-game losing streak. The Auburn Tigers will want to put history aside and win this game to gain some confidence heading into the final stretch of SEC play.

Auburn will want to forget about its early February form and get back on track with a win away from home before it returns to the Plains. Offensively, Auburn is averaging 66.5 points per game but manages to hold its opponents to a lowly 57.5 points per game.

Auburn’s offense is led by graduate student Honesty Scott-Grayson with an impressive 17.4 points per game, putting her in the top 10 of scoring leaders in the SEC. Second to her is graduate student guard JaMya Mingo-Young who contributes an average of 8.7 points per game.

Missouri is averaging 72.2 points per game despite its recent results, but its scoring margin is a tight 2.2. This will be something that Auburn will want to be wary of with its lower scoring average as well as Missouri having two top 20 scorers in the SEC. Auburn will also want to improve its ball security as Missouri averages 6.9 steals per game with senior guard Mama Dembele ensuring almost half of that average with 3.1 steals per game.

Missouri’s scoring is led by graduate student forward Hayley Frank as she averages 17.5 points per game, a stat that puts her in the top 10 scoring leaders in the SEC. Trailing behind her is sophomore guard Ashton Judd who is averaging 13.4 points per game. Continuing to contribute with double digits, freshman guard Grace Slaughter averages 11.6 points per game.

The Auburn Tigers will tip off against the Missouri Tigers at Mizzou Arena on Sunday, Feb. 11 at 1 p.m. CST on SEC Network.
