A female Auburn student collided with a Tiger Transit bus at the Mell Street Loop at approximately 10:30 a.m. Thursday, March 12, according to Officer Joseph Lovvorn of the Auburn Fire Department.The identity of the student has not been confirmed.Lovvorn said the student is in okay condition and has been taken to East Alabama Medical Center. Lovvorn also said the exact details of the incident have not been confirmed. “Either the student ran into the bus or was hit by the bus,” Lovvorn said. “We’re not sure at this point.”
The SGA met for the second time March 9. Because this was their second meeting, there were no old or new orders of business. There were, however, 22 future orders of business that will become new orders of business in the following meeting.
Beginning Feb. 8, the department of music provided online access to general admission tickets for all music recitals and concerts held by the department at Auburn University. Previously, individuals who planned on going to a recital or concert would have to wait until one hour before the performance to purchase tickets.
The first meeting of the 2015-16 SGA took place Monday, March 2.
Sara Hagale, senior in graphic design, won the Judge’s Choice Award at the American Institute of Graphic Arts Atlanta Student Pin-Up show where several Auburn graphic design students showcased their work Jan. 24.
The members of the SGA met for their last meeting of the 2014-15 term Feb. 23.
