Auburn has a tough task facing Georgia on Saturday in Athens as Stegeman Coliseum has been a graveyard for ranked SEC opponents as of late. Georgia defeated No. 17 Oklahoma and No. 6 Kentucky at home this month and hope to add No. 1 Auburn onto their win column. This game is gonna be slugfest, but I expect Auburn to pull away towards the end of the second half for the Tigers 10th Quad 1 win of the season. Pick: Auburn 79-63

As temperatures drop below freezing, Auburn and Opelika residents grow concerned for locals who must endure long-term exposure to the increasingly cold climate. Established homeless shelters are reaching maximum capacity, as the homeless seek refuge from the cold. Drew Dauphin, a 2023 Auburn University graduate who was killed at the New Year’s attack on Bourbon Street in New Orleans, was flown back to Montgomery on the evening of Jan. 10. Dauphin earned a bachelor’s degree in industrial and systems engineering and was a member of the Phi Delta Theta International Fraternity.
