Red Barn Worship is a student-led, Christian ministry, where college students gather at the Red Barn to sing praises to the Lord. On Aug. 22, Red Barn Worship released its debut album, “At the Arena (Live),” which was recorded in Neville Arena and is streaming on all platforms.

From Oct. 3 to Oct. 5, AubFest hosted an estimated 1,200 attendees for its seventh edition at the local ATV park, Boggin’ On The Plains. Tickets for the biannual festival’s largest year yet sold for $30 online and included access to camping, food trucks, retail vendors and over 30 performances — including the headliner, Post Sex Nachos.

On Sept. 30 at 6:00 p.m., Botanic’s Got Talent, a local talent show similar to "America’s Got Talent," began auditions for its fourth season. Auburn-Opelika residents who auditioned performed a short version of their act on stage at Botanic’s Patio for the audience, and 25 to 30 of the contestants were asked to return for round one of the competition on Oct 1. from 6:00 to 8:30 p.m.

Many customs, especially culinary ones, are valued within cultures because food often unites people together. Most people don’t think about the history behind their food, but the History Club at Auburn University, along with the Lee County Historical Society, is working to change that. The organizations are creating a cookbook with southern recipes, with information about their true origins, to bring awareness to the underrepresented groups that formed southern culinary culture.

From Oct. 1 until Nov. 4, Jan Dempsey Community Arts Center (JDCAC) will hold its first-ever Artist's Harvest Exhibition, an opportunity for local artists to showcase their artwork and express their love for Halloween and the fall season. A reception and market, where these JDCAC-affiliated artists can sell their pieces and gain exposure in the world of creativity, will also take place on Thursday, Oct. 9, from 5:30 to 8:00 p.m.

This easy-to-use form provides readers with hand-picked suggestions designed to aid anyone in their journey to finding the exact book they’re looking for in just 24 to 48 hours. First opening in the early 1890s, APL has given the city of Auburn easy access to a plethora of books for over a century. Now, inspired by other libraries across the country, APL has made finding the right book even simpler.
