Smalls Sliders held the grand opening of their Auburn location on Saturday, Jan. 18. Despite the gloomy weather, the event attracted a crowd of Auburn locals and students alike. Guests could get in line for free swag bags filled with branded gear, such as their famous Smalls-branded slides.

As a child, Jarius Morehead dreamt of playing professional sports. Today, he suits up on Sundays to go out and compete with his team. Instead of wearing a jersey and football pads, it's a fire resistant suit. Now, Morehead works as a tire carrier on a NASCAR pit crew at Hendrick Motorsports, one of the most successful teams in the sport’s history.

With the holidays swiftly approaching, Auburn University is full of seasonal festivities. For the past 16 years, the culinary department has upheld the tradition of a gingerbread village. This year, the village will debut on Dec. 8 in the Tony & Libba Rane Culinary Science Center, and it will remain on display until New Year's Day.

Auburn University's Office of Sustainability, Thrift Club and Apparel Merchandising and Design Association partnered to host an outdoor film event at Pebble Hill on Nov. 14. The event ran from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and included a showing of “Fashion Reimagined,” a documentary that told the story of a young designer's efforts to develop a sustainable and ethical fashion line.

Rent the Runway held a pop-up event on Oct. 28 at The Collegiate Hotel in Auburn. The pop-up lasted from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Attendees could either pre-register for the event or scan a QR code to register on-site.
