Football to face Penn State in 2021, 2022

The Auburn Tiger football team will take on the Penn State Nittany Lions in 2021 and 2022 as part of a home-and-home series, athletic director Jay Jacobs announced Monday.  The first matchup will take place in State College, Pennsylvania on September 18, 2021 in Beaver Stadium.

Jay Jacobs names new men's tennis head coach

Former Oklahoma men's tennis coach Bobby Reynolds has been named Auburn men's tennis head coach, athletics director Jay Jacobs announced Friday. “It’s exciting that someone of Coach Reynolds’ extensive professional experience and network of contacts throughout all levels of tennis wants to join the Auburn family,” Jacobs said.

Johnson earns All-American honors

Recently graduated Auburn men's golfer Michael Johnson has been named a Golfweek first-team All-American and a PING second-team All-American following a senior year that saw him win program record breaking three tournaments and break the single season scoring average school record at 70.37. A semifinalist for the Ben Hogan and Jack Nicklaus Awards, Johnson becomes Auburn’s seventh All-American under head coach Nick Clinard and only the fifth first-team member in school history joining Buddy Gardner, Chris Spratlin, Ian Steel and Blayne Barber.

Volleyball sets 2016 schedule

Auburn's 2016 volleyball team is set to take on a challenging schedule that includes eight NCAA Tournament participants and two home tournaments, head coach Rick Nold announced Wednesday. Five of the Tigers six starters are returning for the 2016 season after posting 18-12 overall and 10-8 SEC records in 2015. "We are really excited about the schedule we have planned for 2016," Nold said.

Atikinson, Muzaric named 2016 NCAA Woman of the Year nominees

Auburn gymnast Caitlin Atkinson and shot put specialist Valentina Muzaric are among the 2016 NCAA Woman of the Year nominees, the NCAA announced Tuesday. The NCAA Woman of the Year award honors graduating female college athletes who have exhausted their eligibility and distinguished themselves throughout their collegiate careers in academics, athletics, service and leadership. Atkinson completed her senior season with four NACGC/W regular season All-America honors.

Former men's golfer to compete in Arnold Palmer Cup

Former Auburn men's golfer Michael Johnson will play in the Arnold Palmer Cup as a member of the United States team June 24-26 at the Formby Golf Club in Formby, England. The annual Ryder Cup-style competition showcases the top 10 American college golfers and their counterparts from Europe. Johnson was a first-team All-SEC and PING All-Southeast Region selection this year.

Two Tigers look to become NBA Draft stock

Tyler Harris and Cinmeon Bowers of Auburn men’s basketball have been participating in NBA pre-Draft workouts for the past month in preparation for the NBA Draft on Thursday. Dix Hills, New York native Harris has already worked out with eight teams, and will have visited a total of 10 teams by draft day.

Auburn Basketball to play Oklahoma in Hall of Fame's Birthday of basketball

Bruce Pearl and the Auburn Tiger Basketball team have agreed to play the Oklahoma Sooners in the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame’s Birthday of Basketball this December. The event will take place at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut on December 21, 2016, and will be the first time the Tigers and Sooners have met on the court since the 1998 NCAA Tournament.
