Brad Paisley performs on The Plains

Cowboy hats could be seen all across Auburn University's Green Space on Friday, Oct. 10, as Brad Paisley took the stage as part of his country nation college tour.

Thousands of members of the Auburn community began claiming spots as early as 4 p.m. to see Eric Paslay perform at 7:30 p.m., followed by Paisley at 8:30 p.m.

The Auburn University cheerleaders and Aubie surprised the audience with appearances on stage before and during Paisley's performance.

"We are just so excited because we love Brad Paisley," said Hannah Corcoran, freshman in undeclared sciences and math. "Plus we love to wear boots and dress up."

Paisley kicked off the night on his multi-colored guitar with his hit, "Crushin' it."

"He's pretty good live," said Faith Tiller, freshman in mechanical engineering.

There were numerous bins set up around the Student Center encouraging people to donate to the Beat Bama Food Drive.

Many students said this was one of the best events the University has held in a long time.

"When there are cool events happening on campus, it would be a shame not to go to it," said Wallace Morris, sophomore in mechanical engineering.

The crowd whooped and "war eagle'd" to Paisley's performance as he finished the night.
