A week in Auburn sports

All- Each of the 18 Auburn athletic teams received a passing grade in the 2011-2012 Academic Progress Ratings released Wednesday. Teams could score up to 1000 points and any team under 925 could face penalties, including the loss of scholarships. Women's cross country posted the highest score of 991and men's basketball scored the lowest at 925. Football and baseball both posted scores of 943.

Baseball- Former baseball players Ty Kelley and Hunter Morris have been selected to play in their respective league's All-Star Games last Tuesday night. LHP Kelley has been selected for the Midwest League annual showcase ,while first baseman Morris will play in the Southern League All-Star contest.

Men's Golf- Junior Dominic Bozzelli was named to the Division I PING All-American Honorable Mention team, the Golf Coaches Association of America announced on Wednesday. Former golfer Jason Dufner finished tied for fourth place at three over at the U.S. Open at the Olympic Club in San Francisco. His performance puts him in first place in the FedEx Cup standings.

Women's Basketball- Sherill Baker has been hired onto the Auburn women's basketball staff as the Director of Basketball Services and Danielle Bell has been hired as the Director of Basketball Operations, head coach Terri Williams-Flournoy announced.

Swimming & Diving- Recent graduate diver Vennie Dantin finished 19th in the 3-meter springboard preliminaries, missing a spot in the semifinals on her first day of competition at the 2012 U.S. Olympic Diving Trials.
