Freshman quarterback Ezekiel (Zeke) Price Pike was arrested for public intoxication early Sunday morning at 12:50 a.m. on South College St. He was released on a $300 bond according to the Lee County Sheriff's department.
Pike has been in Auburn since January and participated in practice all spring. The 19-year-old quarterback is competing for a starting spot against junior Clint Moseley and sophomore Kiehl Frazier.
The 6-foot-5, 220-pound quarterback from Edgewood was heavily recruited out of Dixie Heights High School.
He was suspended for his senior-year season opener for reportedly being ejected in a playoff game his junior year and also was suspended at his final high school for undisclosed reasons.
This was his first arrest.
