Auburn softballs falls short to Georgia State

The softball team lost its second game in a row on Wednesday, Feb. 20 to Georgia State 4-1.

The team committed a season high four errors and the Panthers took advantage.

Lexi Davis started and took the loss to fall to 3-1. Davis allowed four runs, one earned, on three hits with one walk and four strikeouts in four innings of work. Hilary Mavromat pitched the final three innings allowing one hit with one walk and four strikeouts.

The Tigers took the early lead in the first inning, but Georgia State would battle back and take the lead in the top of the fifth inning and be able to pull ahead to the 4-1 victory.

The Tigers return to action on the road Friday, Feb. 22 against Kansas at 1 p.m.
