Auburn softball wins again, Georgia up next

The Auburn softball team traveled to Murfreesboro, Tenn. and defeated Middle Tennessee State by a score of 6-2 Wednesday, March 13.

Macy Harper improved her record to 10-2 on the season after a complete game effort, allowing two runs on six hits. She nearly held the Blue Raiders scoreless, but a two-run home run in the sixth inning by Samantha Nieves broke the shutout and put the only runs on the board for Middle Tennessee.

The Auburn offense was lead by Kelsey Bogaards with two RBIs on the day as the Tigers improved their record to 20-7 on the season.

"We got some big hits from the top and bottom half of our lineup today," said Auburn head coach Tina Deese. "I thought Macy did a good job in the circle. Now we have to go back to work and get ready for a really good Georgia team this weekend."

The team will host Georgia at Jane B. Moore Field in a three game series beginning Friday, March 15.
