The softball team earned its second win in two days after defeating Middle Tennessee State 6-2 in a game that had wind gusts of up to 25 mph.
"I thought for the most part we handled the wind well; it was certainly playing havoc with the pop-ups and fly balls," said Head Coach Tina Deese.
Marcy Harper improved to 10-2 on the season after a complete game effort. Harper allowed two runs, on six hits, with two walks and four strikeouts.
"I thought Marcy did a good job in the circle," Deese said. "Now we have to go back to work and get ready for a really good Georgia team this weekend."
Auburn will host Georgia in a weekend series beginning Friday, March 15 at 6 p.m.
