After the first day of the women's golf SEC championships Auburn is in 14th place with a 33-over 321 on Friday, April 19 at the Greystone Golf and Country Club in Hoover, Ala.
Victoria Trapani leads the Tigers with a 6-over 78 finishing in a tie for 27th. Other than Trapani though the Tigers have struggled.
"I was really proud of the way Victoria played today, but we put ourselves in a tough spot and have a lot of work to do," Auburn Head Coach Kim Evans said. "We left a lot of strokes out there today and let a few holes bite us. We will talk about it tonight and come back tomorrow looking for a lower score."
Diana Fernandez is tied for 64th and Jamie Yun is tied for 68th.
LSU leads the tournament with a 15-over 303, and Alabama is in second one stroke behind.
The second round will begin at 10 a.m. on Saturday with Auburn teeing off at 10:32 a.m.
