The Auburn women's soccer team lost Wednesday in the quarterfinals of the SEC Tournament to Kentucky 2-1.

Courtney Schell scored Auburn's goal, but the Tigers could not overcome an early deficit.

Kentucky opened the scoring with a goal from Jade Klump in the ninth minute.

Just four minutes later, the Wildcats scored again, as Kelli Hubly sliced through the defense for the 2-0 lead.

Auburn picked it up in the second half, getting a goal from Schell in the 65th minute.

Auburn created several more opportunities in the second half, but they ran out of time before they could pull it even.

The Tigers' four-game winning streak is snapped, and Auburn falls to 11-6-3 overall. They await NCAA selection night on Monday.
