Tigers drop road baseball game to LSU

Auburn baseball lost 3-2 to LSU (30-5, 9-4) on Friday, April 10, at Alex Box Stadium in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

Auburn starting pitcher Cole Lipscomb took the loss after allowing three runs, three walks and struck out five batters through seven innings.

Auburn (20-14, 4-9) took a 2-0 lead in the top of the first inning on an RBI double from catcher Blake Logan and a run-scoring single from Bo Decker, but LSU answered with a big run in the bottom of the first inning and extended the lead on a two-out RBI hit by Mark Laird in the second to make it 3-2.

Game two of the series is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 11.
