Walters goes the distance as Tigers open A&M

Auburn softball was firing on all cylinders in College Station, Texas, Friday night, April 10.

Rachael Walters pitched her sixth complete game of the season, allowing only one run and four hits.

At the bat, Morgan Estell had three hits, while as a team the Tigers plated eight runs in the victory.

Auburn got off to a hot start, scoring two runs off a Jade Rhodes single, then added 3 more before the inning ended.

The Tigers added two more in the fourth with an RBI from Estell, while Carlee Wallace grounded into a double play, but Estell still managed to score.

Estell scored again in the fifth after a bad throw from shortstop.

Game two of the series will be Saturday, April 11, at 1 p.m.
