No. 10 Auburn gymnastics will be without two top freshmen moving forward, as A'Miracal Phillips and Emma Engler suffered season-ending injuries against Arkansas on Friday, Jan. 29.
Phillips dislocated her foot during her vault routine at Arkansas. Phillips had been in the vault rotation in all five meets this season for the Tigers.
Only a few minutes later, Engler tore a knee ligament during her beam routine. Engler had competed in vault, bars and beam for the Tigers and was the team's third-highest average scorer on bars.
Both are expected to fully recover after undergoing successful surgeries on Monday, Feb. 1.
Auburn heads to Denton, Texas, on Friday for a quad meet with Texas Woman's University, No. 2 Oklahoma and Illinois State at 7 p.m.
