Gymnastics beats Georgia with season-high score

The eighth-ranked Auburn gymnastics team posted its highest score of the season to win its first-ever meet in Athens on Friday night, beating No. 10 Georgia 197.325-197.275.

It was yet another record-setting night for the Tigers, as the team set or tied 11 season or career highs and posted its highest road score in program history.

Auburn began on bars with a 49.350, led by sophomore Abby Milliet's career-high 9.950.

The Tigers then scored a season-high 49.375 on vault, led by junior MJ Rott's season-high 9.950.

Floor was next for Auburn, scoring a 49.300. Junior Kullen Hlawek tied a season-high 9.900 to lead the team.

The Tigers finished on beam with a 49.300, led by senior Caitlin Atkinson's 9.925.

Auburn moves to 7-5 overall and 4-3 in the SEC. The Tigers finish up the regular season with a home meet against Arizona State University in Auburn Arena on Friday, March 11, at 7 p.m.
